Yesterday, D&F Charity Trust was honored to be recognized as a benefactor at the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas's annual Scholarship Recipient and Benefactor Luncheon.

The event celebrated the students whose lives are being shaped by the generosity of donors and organizations who believe in their potential. For D&F Charity Trust, being in that room was a reminder of exactly why we do what we do. The EMPOWER Program at the University of Arkansas (UofA Empower) gives students with cognitive disabilities the tools to live, work, and thrive independently, and we are proud to play a small part in making that possible.

When Amanda Steele's young son La'Ryin needed a specialized bed to keep him safe at night, the cost was well beyond what her family could manage. As a single mother of three children with autism who had also navigated multiple surgeries within the past year, she was already stretched thin. But she filled out every form, met every deadline, and advocated for her son every step of the way.

Through the D&F Charity Trust's partnership with Alabama's Children's Rehabilitation Services (Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services), La'Ryin received a Z-Pod bed, a 360-degree enclosed sleep system designed specifically for children with autism and conditions like pica. By early August, it had been delivered.

The 27th Annual D&F Charity Trust Alabama Golf Classic was cut short on September 11th, but not before our players, sponsors, and supporters showed up in a big way for the people of Alabama. The flag flew at half mast all day as a quiet and fitting reminder of why this date means so much to us this year. Rain or shine, 27 years of giving back speaks for itself. The day is finally here. 🇺🇸⛳

The 27th Annual D&F Charity Trust Alabama Golf Classic tees off TODAY at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Silver Lakes. We will see you at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast, with the sh***un start at 10:00 a.m. sharp.

On this 25th anniversary of September 11th, we are reminded of why days like today matter. We gather not just to play, but to give back, to serve, and to honor those we lost. We are grateful for every sponsor, golfer, and supporter who made this day possible.
