The 37th Annual MLK Celebration, held tonight, was a testament to the transformative power of faith and community. The organizers would like to express their sincere appreciation to Presiding Elder Shalane Jenkins and Gates Chapel Church for their gracious hospitality and generosity in hosting this year's celebration.

The Crossett FD and Police Department are commended for their outstanding service, providing escorts and ensuring a safe and secure environment for all participants during the March. Orlando's technical expertise, featuring Dr. King's speech and songs on his ATV music equipment, was instrumental in enhancing the March.

The committee also wishes to acknowledge the participation and support of our Mayor, State Political Leaders, and Crossett Supt. Dr. Boykin, whose presence added depth and significance to the occasion.

Dr. Cynthia Simpson's address was a highlight of the evening, offering a powerful and poignant reminder of the importance of perseverance and collective action.

The program celebration choir, under the expert direction of First Lady Monica Swan-Giles and Musician Jason Bivens, delivered a stirring performance that uplifted and inspired the audience.

The MLK Holiday Committee is deeply grateful for the remarkable support and impressive turnout from the Crossett Community, which served as a powerful testament to the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We look forward to seeing each of you in 2026!!
