The Cross Plains Housing Authority is reaching out to our community with a need.

Our maintenance truck is starting to have issues, and unfortunately, purchasing a new truck just is not something we are able to afford right now. We are hoping there may be someone in our community, or someone who knows someone, who would be willing to donate a decent, reliable truck to the Housing Authority.

This truck would be used for maintenance purposes at our apartments — hauling tools, picking up supplies, responding to work orders, making repairs, taking care of the property, and helping us better serve our residents. A dependable truck is not just a convenience for us. It directly helps us keep things running, respond quicker when residents need something fixed, and take better care of the homes we are responsible for.

The Cross Plains Housing Authority is a governmental/public housing authority, and because the truck would be donated for public use and used for Housing Authority maintenance, the donation may qualify as a tax-deductible contribution. We would be happy to provide the proper donation acknowledgment and paperwork needed, but the donor would need to visit with their tax preparer regarding the value and deduction.

It does not have to be brand new or fancy. We are just needing something dependable, safe, and able to help our maintenance team do their job.

🍪 TODAY is National Oreo Day! 🍪

We’re celebrating in just a few hours at the Cross Plains Housing Authority and you’re invited to stop by!

Come see us today from 11 AM – 1 PM and help us taste-test 10+ different kinds of Oreos (yes… there are WAY more flavors than you think 😄). We’ll also have milk and coffee ready for the perfect Oreo dunk.

A nurse from CenterWell Home Health will be here offering free blood pressure checks if you’d like to swing by our little “Cookies & Checkups” clinic. 😉
