Trail Life USA: Troop 1454

It is with great sadness that we must announce that Troop WV-1454 is no longer a chartered troop with Trail Life USA. We were one of the first chartered troops with about 50 boys and 10 leaders. Over the past few years that number has dwindled to 5 boys and 2 leaders (soon to be 2 boys and 1 leader). We can't realistically continue the troop with these numbers. We remain in agreement with the values of the organization and pray Trail Life USA continues to grow and train boys in Christian character.

Our troop will not be conducting any weekly meetings until further notice (sometime in February). We are going to try to schedule an event or two during this time. More info will be shared as it becomes available.

This is sad. These gentlemen offer Christian summer camps to teach children about God's creation and his gift of salvation. Someone (probably multiple people) has stolen much of their property. If you know of or hear any information about these thefts, please contact the Jackson County Sheriff's office.

The JCSD is investigating a large scale Breaking & Entering / theft case from the Wilderness Christian Camp in rural Jackson County - more specifically the community of Gay / Aplin Ridge areas. Numerous items were stolen that these fine folks use to maintain their property and program. Some of the items stolen included multiple ATV's, multiple utility trailers, multiple generators, multiple chainsaws, multiple weedeaters, leaf blowers, various power hand tools, gas cans, food from the kitchen, air compressors, and numerous other items. Surely, someone out there knows something or has seen something. Any help would be greatly appreciated in bringing some closure to this case.
