* At 1211 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Crosby,
moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

24 miles west of Crosby, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

All Divide County Government offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8. Have a safe and happy holiday weekend!

25 years later, we remember.

September 11, 2001 changed our nation forever. We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the many acts of courage and sacrifice that followed.

Our local responders may never be called to an incident on the scale of September 11. But when someone in our community needs help, they answer the call. They respond to fires, medical emergencies, crashes, searches, disasters and countless other situations, often not knowing what they will find when they arrive.

As we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, we want to take time to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice while also recognizing the Hometown Heroes who continue to serve our communities today.

We invite our local first responders to join us. This is a time to remember, to honor, and to say thank you.

POWER OUTAGE | THURSDAY, SEPT. 3

We are experiencing a power outage on the South circuit of our Crosby Substation, affecting members in the area South of Crosby to Alamo. Crews are working to determine the cause and restore power. We currently do not have an estimated restoration time.
