🐾 FEATURE FRIDAY: STILL WAITING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOMES 🐾

This week, Scruffy Tails is shining the spotlight on the rest of the amazing animals still waiting to be chosen.

Some are playful. Some are shy. Some are cuddly. Some are independent. But every one of them has their own personality, story, and so much love to give.

Among the animals still available are Opa, Liberty, Sparkle, Fiesty, and Reba McEntire — along with several other wonderful pets hoping their person walks through the door soon. ❤️

Whether you’re looking for a kitten with energy, a mellow cat to keep you company, or a dog ready for adventures, there may be a perfect match waiting at Scruffy Tails.

And don’t forget — all animals are 25% off adoption fees through October 17th!

Stop by, meet the animals, and see who chooses you. 🐶🐱

🐾💚 THANKFUL THURSDAY: UMC EQUESTRIAN TEAM! 💚🐾

Scruffy Tails Humane Society would like to give a huge thank you to the UMC Equestrian Team for all of their help this week!

Members of the team have been generously volunteering their time at the Hugo’s booth throughout the week, helping represent Scruffy Tails, visit with community members, and support the shelter during the scan event. ❤️

And they’re not done yet!

This weekend, the UMC Equestrian Team will also be helping with the upcoming Dog Wash on Saturday, October 17th from 11 AM–3 PM. 🐶🫧

Community support like this makes such a difference. Whether it’s spending a few hours at an event, helping wash dogs, talking with supporters, or simply showing up when help is needed, every bit of time given helps Scruffy Tails continue caring for animals in the community.

A heartfelt thank you to the UMC Equestrian Team for showing up again and again this week. Their time, energy, and willingness to help are truly appreciated! 💚🐾

🐾 WISHLIST WEDNESDAY: LITTER NEEDED! 🐾

With the increased number of cats and kittens currently in Scruffy Tails’ care, the shelter is running dangerously low on cat litter.

Litter is one of those everyday essentials that gets used constantly, and with so many feline residents right now, supplies are disappearing fast.

Scruffy Tails could especially use donations of:

• Clumping cat litter
• Non-clumping cat litter

Every bag helps keep kennels clean, comfortable, and sanitary for the cats and kittens waiting for their forever homes. ❤️

Donations can be dropped off at the shelter, or supporters can shop the shelter’s wishlists if that’s easier.

Thank you to everyone who continues to help keep Scruffy Tails stocked with the supplies the animals need every single day. 🐱💚

🐾💌 SUPPORT SUNDAY: DID YOU GET YOUR FALL NEWSLETTER? 💌🐾

Scruffy Tails Humane Society sent out the Fall Newsletter last week, sharing a little look at what’s been happening around the shelter and what’s coming up next!

Inside, supporters can find updates on:

🐶 214 animals served
🏡 144 animals adopted
🛠️ Improvements made to the dog runs
📅 Upcoming events like the Hugo’s Scan Event, Dog Wash, and 3rd Annual Purse Bingo
🐾 Current shelter needs
❤️ Ways the community can help with projects, donations, and grant writing

The newsletter also included an important reminder that funds are currently running low. Veterinary care, food, litter, cleaning supplies, utilities, maintenance, and everyday shelter expenses continue whether the building is full or quiet.

Every donation truly helps — whether it’s $5, a bag of food, a recurring gift, supplies from the wishlist, or simply sharing Scruffy Tails with others.

If your newsletter arrived last week, Scruffy Tails hopes you’ll take a few minutes to read through it and see just how much community support makes possible. 💚

Small gifts add up to big change.

Thank you for continuing to support the animals who depend on Scruffy Tails. 🐾
