🦕🌋 Pack 3044 Takes on Dino Discovery Day Camp! 🏹🦖
What an amazing adventure our Cub Scouts from Pack 3044 had at this year’s “Dino Discovery” Day Camp! Our Scouts were ready to explore, learn, and have a roaring good time!
Throughout the day, our Scouts jumped into action with a variety of hands-on activities. They tested their aim and focus at BB guns, archery, and slingshots. 🎯

The fun didn’t stop there! Scouts tapped into their creativity with lava lamp making, explored the prehistoric world by digging for fossils, and took part in a variety of exciting dinosaur-themed games that kept everyone moving and laughing. 🌋🦴

📸 Be sure to check out our photos from the day—so many smiles and great moments captured!

On Sunday, we celebrated our Cub Scouts at our annual Blue & Gold banquet 💙💛

While we don’t have any Arrow of Light Scouts crossing over into a troop this year, we are incredibly proud of each and every Scout for their hard work, growth, and achievements throughout the year. From earning belt loops & badges to showing teamwork, kindness, and perseverance, every Scout has something to celebrate.

This night is a reminder that success isn’t just about the next step—it’s about the journey, the friendships, and the accomplishments along the way. We can’t wait to see what all of our Scouts achieve in the year ahead!

Congratulations to all of our amazing Cub Scouts—we’re proud of you! 🎉

Our Cub Scouts had a fantastic day yesterday ice fishing on the Red Lake River! ❄️🎣

With the help of the ice houses provided by Get Kids Outdoors, the kids were able to learn new skills, catch lots of fish, and enjoy time together outdoors. There were plenty of smiles, excitement, and great memories made all around!

A big thank you to Get Kids Outdoors for their wonderful program and for giving our Scouts the opportunity to experience the outdoors in such a fun and meaningful way. We truly appreciate your support in helping get kids outside and active! 🌟

Two weeks ago, our Cub Scouts had a fantastic time visiting the Thief River Falls Curling Club! 🥌

Thank you for inviting us up and giving the Scouts a hands-on introduction to curling. They had so much fun learning the basics, getting out on the ice, and trying something new. A special thank you to Cameron for taking the time to teach and encourage our group — we truly appreciate the warm welcome and great experience! ❄️

Pack 44's winter camp is taking a different approach this year. We are doing a lock-in at Washington School. Activities thus far have included scooter relay races with Scouts, parents, and leaders, as well as parachute fun. Snack time followed, during which leaders prepared the gym for a Nerf battle. Later on, participants will enjoy pizza and a movie with popcorn, followed by simulated camping in the school hallways.

Two of our cub scouts are attending " scout night with the fighting Hawks". We started of the night setting up camp in the Betty Engelstad arena then headed over to the hockey game. Maximus was chosen to assist with the flags during the national anthem. It was a great game with the Hawks winning 6-1. We are ending the night back at the Betty watching Madagascar on the jumbotron.

In addition to Scouts attending the Loopapalooza, Pack 44 also hosted a “LEGO Build Day & Learn About Scouts” event designed especially for new families interested in joining Scouting. This activity gave both current Scouts and prospective families the opportunity to come together for a fun, hands-on experience.

Families were welcomed to explore several LEGO activity stations while learning more about what Scouting is all about. The stations included Build the Tallest Tower, Wheeled Wonders, Something Small, and the Mural Wall, each encouraging creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving.

It was wonderful to see our Scouts working alongside new families, sharing their enthusiasm and helping introduce them to the values and adventures of Scouting. Every child who came to check out Scouting—along with our current Scouts—was able to create and take home a fun LEGO Christmas ornament as a special keepsake from the day. 🎄

On Saturday, three Scouts from Pack 44 attended the Holiday Hoopla Loopapalooza in Grand Forks. It was a fun-filled day packed with hands-on activities and holiday excitement.

While there, our Lion Scouts worked on their “Build It Up, Knock It Down” adventure loop, putting their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test. Our Wolf Scout completed the “Digging Up the Past” adventure loop, exploring history through engaging and educational activities. In addition to earning their loops, the Scouts also enjoyed making gingerbread houses, adding a festive touch to the day.

To make the experience even more special, officers from the Grand Forks Police Department joined the event and personally handed out the adventure loops to each Scout at the end of the day. It was a memorable experience that combined learning, fun, and community connection, and our Scouts had a wonderful time representing Pack 44.
