It *literally* takes all kinds of kinds. Community Voice is another tool in the marketing toolbox… not a competitor with local radio, local newspaper, or local television. Each of these entities is important and serves a unique audience. One is not better than the other, but should be thought of as a collective whole rather than fragmented parts.

Who is your target audience for the event?
Who is your secondary target market?
Where can you get the word out?
What tools are available to help you get the word out? Which of those tools has a primary audience that coincides with who you’re targeting? In some cases, it’s a “select all” mentality.

Community Voice has never been about replacing services available. Our goal is to help bridge the gap and connect people to services available.

We never fathomed how many people would say, “this awesome, I’m not on FB anymore so it’s nice to stay connected with what’s happening” (when hearing about Community Voice. So if your primary (and only) event advertising is on FB for your community, you’re definitely missing a sector of the population.
