Our 92.5 The Country Station! WBKR yard party car wash and bake sale are zooming up RIGHT around the corner! We need our volunteers to dust off those old family recipes and cookbooks and help us out by donating baked goods for the bake sale! Items can be dropped off morning of, 8:30 am, in the WBKR parking lot. Please comment below, or message us if you can help!

Until we can get everyone on board to spay and neuter, having kittens is just going to be part of life. This is an excellent video to help you know how to s*x kittens. We have had so many calls saying that they were told their kitten was as a boy, and therefore they didn’t spay. That’s pretty backwards, boys need to have the surgery too. If you need to know anything about kittens, The Kitten Lady is the place to look.

Like so many of our kitties, these sweet babies have been growing up in foster care, just waiting for their chance to be found by their forever families. ❤️ They are all now about 4 months old, so it long past their turn!

🌳 Pawpaw & Redbud have become very bonded during their time together and will need to be adopted as a pair. They’ve found comfort, companionship, and a best friend in each other—now they just need a family to call their own.

🌷 Tulip is our independent girl and does not need to be adopted with the boys. She can head off on her own adventure and would be happy to join a home with another furry friend.

These babies have not yet lived with dogs or children, but they are still young and, with patient and proper introductions, we feel they should transition well.

They’ve spent enough of their kittenhood waiting. Maybe their people just haven’t seen them yet. ❤️

These babies will be headed to Feeders Pet Supply on 31w in Bowling Green tomorrow. Please share Pawpaw, Redbud & Tulip and help us change that! 🐾

And just like that, the last of 21 kitties transferred to larger rescue partners this week! ❤️🐾

We are so thankful this litter will never have to grow up on the streets suffering. But while we were able to help these babies, we have also had to turn down multiple litters this week—just like we do nearly every week.

The difference for these babies was simple: they had a committed foster willing to keep them safe for as long as it took us to find their next step. That makes ALL the difference when rescues are full.

Thank you so much, Deborah, for once again being there for the kitties and giving them the time they needed. ❤️

These babies are now off to a larger rescue with more adoption opportunities, and we couldn’t be happier to see them moving forward! 🐱🐾

One single kitty from the Drakesboro clowder was also able to leave for a larger rescue. This is the group that Jennifer Wickliffe and many other animal advocates have been working on.

Four have been rehomed. One momma is doing her best to survive and nurse her baby. A huge thanks to her foster mom and the foster mom for 2 bottle babies that came in with her.

Jennifer believes the remaining ones are males. We will be getting them neutered as soon as possible and they need true barn/farm homes.

Please keep in mind I think there are still 6 at Terri’s house from January. They have proven to be friendly to their care takers. They must be relocated in pairs or groups. Once cats live in colonies, it is not fair to split them as singles. The ones from Terri’s would love to find inside/outside access.

These 7 precious babies were growing old on us! I actually didn’t realize how big they were now until they came out of foster and transported to a rescue partner that helps us! They were part of the 21 that were able to be pulled this week. Hopefully we will get another turn next month. We have so many waiting for help.

The hard truth is, we started on these kitties June 9th. These 7 were part of 16 felines that came from one home. The last two adults will make their journey to their forever home soon. And we have Daisy and her baby girl in foster. We really can’t stop to be happy about this because there are dozens and dozens of request to take their place.

At this point, we have to find funds to help anything. We have dental needs still, and are constantly battling p**p issues. And we are on our last of our food stock again.

We desperately need to find inside multi pet homes for so many wonderful kittens that we have in our system now. Even if we could raise money, we have no more space.

The great thing about being an all volunteer rescue is, our volunteers can pick who to help by who pulls their heartstrings the most. We have all learned the hard way that we can’t help them all. But sometimes we find a way to help one that speaks to us! Melody did that to me. She not only spoke, she sung, and she made sure to get our attention.

Melody came with a super sweet group from Breckinridge as a trapped TNR kitty. But her hair was super matted already and she was probably 2-3 pounds under weight. She was less than 4 pounds, but clearly an older kitten.

Well thankfully she didn’t stay here long since we are already so over capacity. A larger rescue pulled her today that can finish off her vetting, and have her adopted in lightening speed. And sadly that did take one of our pull spots, but it was worth it. She absolutely will make a great best friend to someone and had no business going into winter already not successful as an outside kitty.
