Dear CAC Families,
For generations, the Crofton Athletic Council has been able to provide recreational sports opportunities for thousands of local kids because parents, coaches, commissioners, and community members have stepped forward to volunteer their time and leadership.
Right now, CAC needs a few new people to step forward.
The CAC Board currently has several open Board seats and is also seeking individuals interested in helping fill key executive leadership positions noted below.
We recently reached out to our current CAC Sport Commissioners looking for volunteers and are now expanding that search to our entire CAC family.
You do not need to be a current commissioner, longtime coach, or have years of experience with CAC to serve. We are looking for people who care about our community, want to help strengthen our programs, and are willing to bring their experience, ideas, and perspective to the organization.
The CAC Board helps oversee and support the many sports programs operating under CAC, works with our commissioners and volunteers, coordinates with Anne Arundel County Recreation & Parks, works with neighboring athletic organizations and club programs, and helps make decisions that affect the future of recreational sports in Crofton.
Our organization is strongest when the families we serve are represented and involved in its leadership.
Current Openings
Our immediate goals are to:
Fill four vacant CAC Board seats
Identify individuals interested in serving as President, Vice President, and Treasurer
Anyone appointed to an open Board seat would initially serve a one-year term ending in May 2027. At that point, we would hope you would consider continuing and standing for election to a full three-year term.
If you are interested in an executive leadership position, please indicate that when you contact us. If there are multiple qualified candidates for an officer position, the Board will follow the appropriate process for holding a membership meeting and election.

And if serving on the Board is not the right fit for you, but you know another CAC parent, coach, former volunteer, or community member who you believe would be a great addition, please encourage them to reach out or send us their name.
If you are interested but aren't sure about the time commitment or responsibilities, please don't let that stop you from contacting us. We would be happy to talk through what Board service involves before you make any commitment.
CAC exists because members of our community volunteer to make it work. The next group of leaders who will help guide Crofton Athletics is somewhere within our CAC family, and we hope you will consider being one of them.
