If you can tell from the dejected look on the faces of the kitties we trapped last week, you might see that we had a very unusual TNR experience.
We knew something was up when we received multiple emails from different neighbors all living in the same community and all of them telling the same tragic story. Someone in the neighborhood moved out suddenly, leaving not only a pile of belongings on the front lawn but also many cats behind. They were now living in the bush’s outside of the house, frozen in fear with no one to care for them.
We responded to find their former home had been in deplorable condition. The ammonia smell hits you before you get 10 ft from the door. We can only imagine that their lives from day one have not be easy. And now the only humans they knew had left.
We were able to quickly trap 9 cats, far more than anyone knew were there. These skinny beings did not act like your typical feral cat. They were nervous but not aggressive, used to being near humans but probably not getting much pets or love.
🚨And this is where we need your help🚨 Three of these shell shocked kitties went to Anne Arundel County Animal Services for adoption evaluation and we found out today that they are not thriving. They need a quiet home to learn how to adjust, not a busy bustling shelter. Or even a nice barn to live in and have a quiet country life. Can you help?! Can you share our message?!
The ammonia smell has just started to wear of these emaciated babies fur, please help us give them the life they deserve 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
