As we step into a new year, let this be your reminder:
moving forward does not mean letting go of love.

It lives in you, surrounds you, and connects us here.
To every premature widow—you are seen, loved, supported, and held.

From my heart to yours,
Happy New Year💛

Today, I’m holding space for all of us navigating gratitude and grief at the same time. Thanksgiving can be tender, heavy, and complicated — and that’s okay.

I’m thankful for our strength, our softness, our survival, and the way we keep choosing to rise, even on the days it feels impossible.

May today bring you a moment of peace, a breath of comfort, and the reminder that you are never walking this journey alone.

Holding you close today and always!

Happy Thanksgiving, my loves. 🕊️💕

To my beautiful sisters in widowhood,

Today, on International Widows Day, we pause to honor not just our loss—but our strength, our resilience, and the sacred journey we walk every day.

At Premature Widow, we stand together as women who were thrust into grief far too soon. We are mothers, daughters, sisters, friends—left to navigate a life we didn’t choose, but continue to live with purpose and grace.

You are not alone. Whether your grief is fresh or has become a quiet companion, you belong to a community that understands your pain and believes in your healing. We lift each other. We speak each other’s names. We share our tears, our breakthroughs, our triumphs. Together, we are breaking the silence, shattering stigma, and standing boldly in the light of love and legacy.

May this day be a reminder that you are seen. You are heard. You are cherished.
And most importantly—you are never alone.

With love, strength, and sisterhood,
Premature Widow💕

June 23rd is International Widows Day.

It’s also the day — 11 years ago — that my whole world changed. The day I suddenly became a widow.

Back then, I didn’t even know this day existed. But now, I honor it every year by surrounding myself with women who understand — my widow sisters.

This year is no different.

I’m inviting you to join me for our Annual Crabs & Conversation — a time to share, reflect, laugh, connect, and simply be together all while doing my absolute favorite thing…eating crabs! 🦀💛

Whether you’re a widow, know one, or just want to show your support — you are welcome and I’d love to see you!!

Email me at: [email protected] and let me know you’ll be there!

Grief changes everything.

No one truly prepares you for the way it seeps into every part of your being—how it reshapes your thoughts, your energy, your identity. It’s more than sadness. It’s exhaustion. It’s confusion. It’s waking up every day with a hole in your heart and still showing up because little eyes are watching. Because you have to.

Being a single/widowed parent while grieving feels like walking through a storm with no shelter. You’re the anchor, the provider, the comforter… while silently falling apart inside. You wear a brave face for your child, but the weight on your shoulders never lets up.

I recently watched the movie STRAW—and it hit home in ways I didn’t expect. It showed how that one last straw can break you. Not because you’re weak, but because you’re tired. Because you’ve been carrying too much for too long. Because sometimes, life doesn’t just hand you burdens—it hurls them at you one after another. And eventually, even the strongest soul can shatter. It showed the side of grief people don’t talk about enough — the part where you don’t even recognize yourself anymore because you’ve been in survival mode for so long.

Mental health isn’t something we talk about enough in grief. The isolation. The sleepless nights. The guilt (both survivor guilt and otherwise). The pressure to hold it all together. And yet, somehow, we keep moving. Even when we don’t recognize the person in the mirror anymore.

Sometimes you just need to SCREAM!!

You’re not alone. You’re not broken. You’re human. And it’s okay to feel. To fall apart. To rebuild. Again and again, if you have to.

If you haven’t seen STRAW, I encourage you to watch it. And if you’re in this space—grieving, parenting, surviving—I see you. And from my heart to yours, I’m sending you love and strength for the journey🙏🏽❤️

Holiday Grief is REAL!!

It has no timeline or timeframe.

REMEMBER: Grief and Gratitude can coexist! You can grieve what you’ve lost but also be grateful for what remains.

I love you all and wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Encouraging you as I encourage myself,
