As we embark on the last day of Women’s History Month, Queens of Virtue pays tribute to our most highly decorated member, Past Grand Worth Matron Mary Nightingale.

Sister Nightingale was initiated into the Order of the Eastern Star, PHA in 1976 with Tuscan Chapter #53 in Paulsboro, New Jersey. She served in all elected and appointed positions and became the Worthy Matron, where she sat for 2 consecutive year before leaving the East and becoming the District Deputy Grand Matron and Grand Lecturer for 4 years. She was elected as Grand Worthy Matron of Oziel Grand Chapter, PHA for the State of New Jersey and its Jurisdiction in 1996 through 1998. She demitted to Texas as a Past Grand Worthy Matron, to care for her aging mother. She is now a current member of the Norris Wright Cuney Grand Chapter, PHA of Texas and its Jurisdictions, actively with Queens of Virtue in Crockett, Texas.

We are honored to have PGWM Nightingale as a member of Queens of Virtue and look forward to learning from her and growing with her to benefit our service area.

Abacia Griffin is also a proud member of the Order of Eastern Stars, Queens of Virtue where she is currently the Conductress. Through this organization she continues to uphold the principle of charity, truth and loving service. She is a lifelong resident of Crockett and committed to community service and empowerment.

A day of service for Queens of Virtue, OES and Royal Gems, Youth Fraternity in Crockett, Texas. Starting our day with our quarterly highway clean up. Our 2-mile stretch of highway 7.
Then participating in the community empowerment event. The girls sold turkey legs and strawberry banana biscoff cheesecake cup and SOLD OUT. We are thankful for all the donations and support. Our very own Cassandra “Cass” Lewis performed for the community. Our sister chapter, Stars of Esther, Worthy Matron from Huntsville came out to meet and support our youth. And the men of Fidelity Lodge, #221, PHA, and members of the Huntsville Chapter of Street Lords MC came to support as well. We are sooo grateful for the support.

The girls are looking forward to making an impact in the community and assisting where it is needed the most

March is Women’s History Month, and Queens of Virtue, Crockett OES is shining a light on a woman who pours into our chapter with love, patience, and dedication.

Past Worthy Matron Monica Glover-Pierre leads with a steady hand and a caring heart — always encouraging us to grow, serve, and support one another.

She has been the Charter Matron of two chapters including her current chapter Queens of Virtue. She is currently serving as the Chapter Secretary and the Youth Advisor of Royal Gems.

Her leadership reminds us that history isn’t only made in the past… it’s being written right here in our community.

Thank you, Past Worthy Matron Pierre, for all that you have done and continue do.

This month, our Eastern Star Chapter proudly stands together in red to raise awareness for Women’s Heart Health. Heart disease affects 1 in 3 women—but with knowledge, sisterhood, and action, we can make a difference. 💪🏽

✨As you watch our reel showcasing the beautiful faces of our sisters in red, take a moment to reflect on these 7 Heart-Healthy Tips for Women:
