Attention all Senior Athletes:
The Crocker Athletic Booster Club Scholarship applications will be available outside of the High School office. Please have applications completed and returned to the HS office no later than May 10th 2024. The Crocker Lions Athletic Booster Club Scholarship Committee facilitates and awards scholarships for eligible seniors that are involved in a sport or sports during their senior year. The Crocker Lions Booster Club will award one female and one male a $500 scholarship.
ELIGIBILITY:
1. High School senior must meet attendance standards for the current school year 2023-2024.
2. High School senior must be accepted or expect to be accepted by an institution of higher education.
3. High School senior must agree to enroll as a full-time student as defined by the university/college during the 2024-2025 academic year.
4. Applicant must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. 5. Applicant must complete and sign an application for scholarship.
6. Applicant must return the application in a large envelope to the high school office no later than 1:30pm on May 10th, 2024.
SELECTION PROCESS:
1. Eligible applications will be forwarded to the selection committee for review.
2. The selection committee is The Crocker Lions Athletic Booster Club, an educator and a community leader.
3. Recipients will be awarded during the final athletic banquet of the year on May 20th, 2024.
The scholarship chairperson deletes all information referencing name, age, race and other information that could be used to identify the applicant.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION GUIDANCE:
1. Essay:
a. Please write an essay on a separate sheet of paper on the following question: How athletics has prepared you to achieve your personal goals?
b. Must be typed and doubled spaced. Please use the Times New Roman 12 font.
c. Put name in the upper left-hand corner.
d. Not to exceed 500 words.
It is the responsibility of the recipient to notify The Crocker Lions Athletic Booster Club to decline the scholarship. Any scholarships that are declined or unclaimed by December 31, 2024 shall remain in The Crocker Lions Booster Club Scholarship fund.
