CCR's Operation Secret Santa

Directions

CCR's Operation Secret Santa Helping local single-parent families have a happy Christmas :-) I was struck by her plight as well as her kind, humble demeanor. The response was overwhelming.

In December 2011, I had a chance meeting with a young, single mother who was seeking help with providing her two young children with Christmas gifts. I thought it would be nice to try to collect a few extra things for her and her children, so I asked my friends, fellow Crisfield Cat Rescue members, and fellow townspeople for help. I was expecting to collect a few things, and instead we provided the family with approx. $500 in gifts, collected in only two weeks. When we delivered the three huge boxes of wrapped gifts to the family, who had not been notified of any of this, the mother couldn't stop smiling, and then she started to cry. It was an amazing experience, and Crisfield Cat Rescue wants to continue doing this for as long as we can :-) Thank you for your support!!
