I can honestly say, that when I was growing up, I was afraid of war and it coming to America. The Vietnam War scared the crap out me, my brother, Kenneth Wayne Glines left in February for bootcamp for the USN. I always had a feeling he wasn’t coming back to us. He left for his deployment before his 19th Birthday to join the USS FRANK E. USS DD 754. He died on June 3rd of 1969. His body was the only one recovered. The other 73 sailors were lost at sea. Their names are still not on The Vietnam Wall. They shelled upon Vietnam 20 days before moving on to Sea Spirit Maneuvers in the South China Sea. So that the Russians couldn’t deliver their supplies to Vietnam. It’s been 55 years and still no recognition for their heroism during that time. Time is of the essence. Many survivors are passing as time goes by. This needs to be resolved.
Someone once told me you have to choose which hill you die on. Get ready to fill out your reports on me, ‘cause I'm going to vent here. Frankly I expect some "unfriending" to happen and that is fine too.
I believe we all have the right to worship as we please, but I also know that our country, the United States of America, was founded on Christian principles. I believe we should be proud of our country. A quote is a quote; It should not be amended or watered down.
The news media should not be afraid to use the "Love of Christ" part. Answering “Why”, they state, “Because, using the words Christ or God might offend someone!” Well, now it's my turn to be offended!
I'm offended that the news media would edit it out. I’m offended that Christians are being asked to tread lightly, so as not to offend someone of another religion. This man, Jesus, loved God, loved his people, loved the world, and gave his life for the sins of ALL people so that those who “believe in Him, and accept Him as their personal Savior, will have everlasting life!!!”
This Founding Principle is actually embedded in our Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” Why would the left lopsided media continue to edit this truth?!
I hope every Christian or every person that believes in God who is NOT OFFENDED will copy this and paste it to their status...“If we ever forget that we're one nation under GOD, then we will be a nation gone under.” ~Ronald Reagan.

If we continue to do nothing so as not to offend anyone else, we will eventually be offended out of the constitution and out of a country!

Boeings Failure
It is ironic that Boeing built the B-52 most likely the greatest aircraft ever built. What happened? With the exposed shortcuts in quality on the 737 and most recently the space capsule that had to return to earth empty, there is a legacy at Boeing that requires investigation. A good first question is how many in the Boeing Board Room have sat at a drafting table or operated a rivetter?
Inflating the Bottom Line at the expense of quality, safety, training, and sound professional business practices is a self destructive behavior, especially when considered at 35,000 feet.

The Legacy of LPI Financial
I retired from SBC in 2005.
I put my lump sum retirement in a credit union that morphed in LPI Financial.
Originally I used the credit union as my broker and the trades were free as many investment houses operate i.e. Fidelity.
When activity at the original CU/ LPI became too costly I moved much of my activity from LPI and at one point decided to also charge an annual $40 "custodial fee."
Moral: I think it would be ill advised to pay them $40.00 to have custody on a ~$15.00 account balance.
Incidentally a few years back I attempted to close the account when it had ~$240 and LPI was going to assess me an exuberant account closing fee, so I LET IT RIDE!
I thought possibly the may be some potential utility in the account,
NOPE, never happened and the lucidity continues with LPI.

Being 74 is rewarding in so many ways...
When I was a kid I frequented the grocery store, to buy ci******es for my Mom and Dad, I never smoked.
I was told when I could afford car insurance I could drive, I went to work at DQ when I was 13. Basically I did what I was told or I got my a$$ handed to me. My parents never let my brother and sisters how poor we were.
The big complaint now is the economy.
So the question is how someone who never worked a day in their life, never went to the grocery, or never pumped any gas can relate to lower income or middle class families and understand their daily challenges.
Think before you vote this year, I am just a crippled veteran in a wheel chair, a loser, and unworthy to share a stage or appearance with our former Commander in Chief who was almost like a Veteran because he went to a military high school, I did that too, I never considered myself a veteran until I served 4 years in the United States Navy. Sorry for the BS, its my dementia kicking in... LOL

I’m NOT TAGGING ANYBODY!!! MY MILITARY vets BETTER SHOW UP IN FULL FORCE!!! Calling ALL My Vets. My circle may be small, but I got enough SOLID brothers and sisters in my life. I am doing a battle buddy check-in showing support for one another. I need at least 7 warriors to post this message to show you are ALWAYS there if someone needs to talk.
