Remembering David "Dave" Nicholas DeSimone

We are heartbroken to share that Dave DeSimone passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, in Newtown, PA. Born on May 16, 1939, in Philadelphia, Dave's life was a testament to dedication and service.

After graduating from St. Joseph’s Prep and Saint Joseph’s University, Dave embarked on a notable career in aerospace at the Naval Air Development Center (NADC) and later founded D.N. DeSimone Associates. His contributions were recognized with an Honorary Life Membership from the SAFE Association.

Beyond his career, Dave loved the water, being an active member and leader in yacht clubs. His true pride was his family—his beloved wife Therese, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He joins his son Michael and brother Andrew in eternal peace.

Join us to celebrate Dave’s life on May 16, 2025, at Saint Ephrem Catholic Church in Bensalem, PA, at 11:30 AM. Luncheon to follow. RSVP at [email protected].

The Aerospace ATD Advisory Group had a productive in-person catch-up at this year’s SAFE Association 2024 Symposium.

In line with the SAFE Association's key objectives to stimulate research and developments in the field of safety and survival, this Advisory Group acts as a steering committee to advance government and industry standards and guidance for consistency across aerospace organisations utilizing crash test dummies.
