Jake Pelroy, co-founder of the Lane County Garbage and Recycling Association (LCGRA), will speak at Creswell Grange on Wednesday, November 12, at 6 pm, about the Clean Lane recycling project. The program is free and open to the public.

The Clean Lane Resource Recovery Facility was supposed to open in 2026 to begin solid waste sorting and recycling. Construction on the $174,000,000 facility was supposed to begin earlier this year. Construction has not started because the County has not been able to secure permits for the environmentally sensitive proposed location. While the project is in limbo, it is still costing taxpayers on an ongoing basis.
