We are so excited to bring our Lindbergh Community together for a morning of celebration. Join us as we highlight the incredible achievements of our Lindbergh students and staff!

FLIGHT STORIES: COLONEL JEFFREY M. KAIN ’96

This week’s “Flight Stories” proudly recognizes Lindbergh High School Class of 1996 graduate Colonel Jeffrey M. Kain, Regimental Commander of the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment—The Old Guard.

Before receiving his Army commission through the University of Tampa ROTC program, Colonel Kain served in the United States Marine Corps. His distinguished military career has included deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and numerous leadership, command and operational assignments in the United States and abroad.

Colonel Kain is a 1996 Lindbergh High School alum and holds degrees from the University of Tampa, Naval War College and Army War College. His extensive military education also includes Ranger, Airborne, Jumpmaster and Air Assault schools.

We are proud to celebrate Colonel Kain’s extraordinary leadership, service to our nation and journey from Lindbergh to one of the Army’s most distinguished commands.

It is with heavy hearts that we share this sad news. Kris Blakemore, one of the Lindbergh High School Alumni Association Founding Members, has passed away.

Kristine Ann Blakemore, born on November 19, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026. She is survived by her sons, Lee Blakemore (Corinne) and Doug Blakemore (Stacey), five grandchildren, family members, and many dear friends.

A proud graduate of Lindbergh High School, Kris carried her Flyer spirit throughout her life and remained deeply connected to her alma mater. She was a founding member of the Lindbergh High School Alumni Association and a passionate supporter of the Lindbergh community. In 2020, her family established the Kris Blakemore Lindbergh Spirit Scholarship in her honor, creating a lasting legacy that continues to support Lindbergh students.

Kris will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and generosity, as well as her dedication to Lindbergh and the people she loved.
