Members, Friends and supporters

VFW Post 5450 is providing food for an upcoming event and we need your help. The 6th Ranger Battalion is doing a Water Jump at lake Jackson in Florala Alabama tomorrow morning. Your VFW will be serving lunch to these fine soldiers and their families.

We do have some volunteers to do the cooking and to haul everything we will be using, but we can always use more hands if you are interested in what promises to be a fun day. If you would like to help haul and cook, we will be departing the VFW at approximately 0830.

Ceremonies: Installations occur annually typically in the spring for local Posts and later in the summer at the National Convention.

Protocol: During the ceremony, outgoing officers are relieved of their duties, and incoming leaders take an oath of office to guide the Post, District, or Department for the upcoming term.

Today we held our installation along with Awards for Voice of Democracy/ Patriots Pen, Scout of the Year, Teacher of the Year.

💔 It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Sandra “Sandy” Walsh’s passing.

Sandy left this world Tuesday evening, surrounded by her loving Daughters and Granddaughters.

We wanted the Aux Family to know Sandy was deeply loved and supported by so many of you, even though her time with us was short. She often spoke of you all as her second family and cherished the bonds she made.

Her Granddaughter created this beautiful song in her honor. Please take a moment to listen and remember the wonderful woman she was.
