The information in here is relevant to those who would like to attend as well as those who can serve in this ministry (and we need a lot of help!) So please keep reading and a see if you can be used in this ministry. Last year we had four awesome camps; The first was for our young volunte
ers to have some fun and receive extensive training, the second for grades 2-5, the third for grades 6-12, and our overflow week for grades 2-9. Those that don't know, the Summer Camp Program at Camp Okaloosa is on its 12th summer having camps for children in our area. The cost to the campers is $45 each if registered by January 31, $65 if registered by April 30. The cost includes everything; cabin, 3 hot meals per day, snacks, camp t-shirt, camp backpack, reusable water bottle, journal, etc. The fee has been kept low thanks to some tremendous donations of time and money from innumerable individuals and churches; however, donations of time, and finances are necessary from all our churches and volunteers to make this a powerful tool to reach children and youth in our area. Even if you cannot serve or do not have children or youth to attend, consider sponsoring a child to go ($45), or a meal ($80), as we do not turn away anyone for the inability to pay. This ministry also requires continued prayer. It is our desire that every aspect of the planning and ex*****on of those plans are all done completely within the Lord's will and direction. It is for His glory not ours that we do any of this. Adults can serve in the areas that follow; however, they must meet the camp director and submit to a background check prior to volunteering. Assistant cooks- assist head chef in all kitchen duties
Camp Counselor- Camper safety and mentor
General Helpers-Doing a multitude of small tasks through out the day as needed
