Today, we are incredibly grateful to for donating 600 stuffed animals to the children we serve at ECCAC, which will be distributed to impacted children in Okaloosa and Walton Counties ❤️
Sometimes, something as simple as a stuffed animal can mean the world to a child.
For a child walking through our doors after experiencing abuse or trauma, having something soft to hold can provide a little comfort in an unfamiliar and difficult moment. It can be a reminder that someone cares about them, that they are safe, and that they are not alone.
Kada’s Promise was born from Kadance’s own story. As a child, Kadance experienced abuse. Kadance chose to turn her painful experiences into a promise to help other children.
Kadance once shared, “I get to use my story to temporarily take someone else’s pain away.”
What a beautiful legacy. Today and every day, that legacy is kept alive through Kada's Promise.
Though Kadance is no longer with us, her kindness continues to reach children who need it most. These 600 stuffed animals will be waiting in our lobbies to be chosen by children who may need a little extra comfort on a very difficult day.
