Glimpses from the clinics: a 4 year old girl came to Benchen free
clinic complaining of diarrhea, one of the most common ailments we see. She was mildly dehydrated as well. We treated her for both symptoms successfully and she returned home with her parents.

Glimpse from the clinics: Dr. Khanal shown meeting last week with 55 year old Nepali patient suffering from diabeties and high blood pressure. Living alone and too poor to afford any medicine, she came to the clinic crying and requesting help. The HMF is now providing her with free medicine along with a regular check up routine.

We have a new slideshow! Photographs from our clinic at Pharping, on the southern outskirts of Kathmandu, a famous region of monasteries, retreat centers and poor villages. Right now our clinic is open twice weekly, but the demand for services is so high we could hold hours every day. A future aspiration!

An elderly Tibetan nun whose arms reveal countless moxibustion scars, the result of attempts to treat a chronic respiratory infection. After seeing the clinic, she was given a simple course of antibiotics which finally treated the infection.

Many of the young nuns arrive at Tsoknyi Rinpoche's Chobar Nunnery with serious fungal infections of the scalp due to mal-nutrition and unsanitary living conditions. Within three months of medicine from the clinic along with improved conditions overall, the infections vanish and their overall health and appearance improves greatly.
