✨ CALLING ALL CHOREOGRAPHERS! ✨

Have a dance idea you’ve been dreaming about? A story you want to tell? A movement style you’re excited to explore?

We want YOU to choreograph for Move the Butte 2027!

The Crested Butte Dance Collective & Dance Crested Butte is excited to open the Call for Choreographers for our 2027 production. We LOVE welcoming new choreographers and creative voices into Move the Butte—and you do not need to be an experienced choreographer to apply!

You may apply independently or co-choreograph with another person.

To be eligible, you must:
• Be 18+ and have completed high school
• Have danced in at least one previous Move the Butte production
• Be available for required rehearsals, meetings, performances, and production commitments
• Be ready to communicate consistently and support your dancers throughout the process

We’re looking for pieces that reflect the spirit of our mission: to deepen the connection to ourselves, each other, and the world around us through dance.

We especially value work that creates meaningful opportunities for dancers of different experience and skill levels and contributes to a diverse, engaging, and supportive production.

📅 Applications are open September 7–October 1, 2026

Have more than one great idea? Submit an application for each piece! We want to hear what you’re excited to create.

Selected choreographers will be notified by email on October 2.

Ready to bring your vision to the stage?
Visit our website for full details and the application.

Let’s make this year unforgettable. 💫
