We’re thrilled to shine a light on Layla Berkowitz, a dedicated Cresskill Cares volunteer who launched a Pet Food Pantry in partnership with us — collecting over 400 pounds of kibble to support pet owners facing food insecurity. 💙🐾

Layla’s compassion and leadership ensure that families don’t have to choose between feeding themselves or their beloved animals. Her initiative is a powerful reminder that everyone — even our furry friends — deserves care, dignity, and support.

Cresskill Cares is a registered partner agency with . We’ve informed our clients already but if you know anyone on SNAP impacted by the shutdown please share.
Bergen County will be hosting an emergency food distribution event to assist SNAP recipient households and furloughed federal employees.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To receive assistance, participants must provide:
-Physical proof of Bergen County residency
-A valid SNAP/NJ Families First Card or Federal Employee ID Card
*Eligibility guidelines will be strictly enforced.
