in case you have seen all the flags at freedom rock and some residences today , The third Saturday in May is Armed Forces Day to honor all veterans currently serving. Cub Scout pack 3062 began their 2026 flag progam today. of you live in the county your flag is placed at the freedom rock. @ even if you already have a flag you can sign up and have 2 out on the 5 holidays

American legion, legion riders and VFW members provided honor guard for Police Memorial Day flag lowering and then invited the officers to post for coffee, treats and fellowship

the cub scouts flag progam begins this Sat on Armed Forces Day. They place flags at residences on 5 holidays starting with Armed Forces Day, for a 40 dollar donation. American Legion Post 135 received a generous donation towards our july 4th flag progam. We are using part of that to give them $240 to start placing flags for 5 veterans currently at Evans Care Center to honor them plus another city resident on the 5 holidays. We also ordered 100 more flags and will give the scouts 20 to use for their progam.

5th anual Flag Day Cermoney will be held Sat June 13th at 1100 am in lime Springs and at Evans park in Cresco at 6pm. a free relacement flag will be given when you bring in your old flag to be retired
a free meal will be provided after each event.

american legionpost 135 is in process of planning a first july 4th parade. we even plan on awarding cresco bucks and trophies to the best or peoples choice. and most patrotic floats or entries. working out last minute details. this is form we are working on getting set up
