Crestwood Dollars for Scholars

The fall Alumni Scholarship opens up on October 16, 2023 and closes on December 15, 2023.

1) Applicant must be a graduate of Howard-Winneshiek Community School District and be out of high school at least 2 years. For example, a 2021 graduate may not apply until after May 2023.
2) Applicant can be attending school either full or part time.
3) Applicants can reapply if not awarded this scholarship in previous attempts.
4) The recommendation letter, a high school transcript or a copy of your high school diploma and proof of enrollment in college are required – you are responsible for seeing that all supporting documents are completed and submitted by the deadline.
5) The recommendation letter should be obtained from your employer, a former or current advisor, a personal reference or an instructor in the field of your major. Please include the recommendation letter with your application.
6) Application and all supporting materials are due by December 15th to Crestwood Dollars for Scholars, PO Box 73, Cresco, Iowa 52136
7) Unsigned, incomplete, or late applications will not be considered by the committee.
8) The number of awarded scholarships will be determined by the number of applicants and funds availability.

Phon-a-thon tonight Wednesday,January 25th. Groups meeting at 6:00 PM at CUSB Bank and Cresco Bank & Trust. We will start calling at 6:30 and continue until around 8:30.

More Dollars For The Scholars!

The Crestwood Dollars For Scholars Committee is excited to announce a new scholarship that is available to Alumni of Crestwood High School. Eligibility for the Alumni Scholarship is dependent on the following requirements:

• Must be a graduate of the Howard-Winneshiek Community School District
• Must be out of high school a minimum of 2 years
• Currently enrolled full or part-time at a higher education institute

The Alumni Scholarship application is open November 1st through December 15th, 2022. For additional information or to apply for the Alumni Scholarship, visit crestwood.dollarsforscholars.org. Go to Crestwood Dollars for Scholars website at https://crestwood.dollarsforscholars.org/ and click on the Donate Now button and follow the instructions. There is a small fee that you have a chose as to whether you cover the fee or the donation is reduced by that amount. We do accept donations to Crestwood Dollars for Scholars PO Box 73 Cresco IA 52136 that 100% of the donation goes to Crestwood Dollars for Scholars.

Dollars for Scholars awards night scheduled for May 6, 2020, is cancelled due to the current pandemic.
For donors whose scholarship is not affiliated with Dollars for Scholars, you will be responsible for publicizing the award on your own.

Dollars for Scholars Phon-a-thon moved to tonight Wednesday, February 6th. The call teams will meet at the high school cafeteria at 5:30 PM and then disperse to the various call areas. We plan to start calling around 6 PM continue calling until about 8:30. We will be calling from CUSB Bank, Cresco Bank & Trust, Featherlite, and Donaldson Company.
