We are proud to be able to give back to charitable organizations that help make a difference in the lives for our community and our sport. At our Landowners Appreciation Meal a week ago we were able to give $1,500 to HoCA Howard Cancer Association!!!

We want to thank the community members and area businesses that supported our Charlie's SxS Ride we hosted back in February with the 50/50 card drawings that went to this donation. Without the support, this would not be possible, so THANK YOU to all who help make the Driftrunners Snowmobile Club what it is today!

The Driftrunners Snowmobile Club is excited to announce 2 scholarship opportunities below for Driftrunners Members, Landowners, and Iowa State Snowmobile Association (ISSA) Members. If you are a 2026 graduating senior make sure to check out the opportunities below and submit your application before the deadline.

The Driftrunners Snowmobile Club will be offering a scholarship to a 2026 high school graduating senior student attending a post-secondary program. Requirements are that the student or students family to be a member of the Driftrunners Snowmobile Club. A student is also eligible if the family owns ground in which the Driftrunners snowmobile trail passes through.

Good Morning Everyone,

Preliminary reports from the recent snowstorm indicate that areas received approximately 4 inches of snow, although the majority of the moisture fell Sunday morning in the form of sleet and rain. The strong winds overnight have caused the snow to drift, resulting in bare spots in fields along the trails. Additionally, some snow loss occurred due to the warm ground conditions Sunday morning.

After careful consideration, we have decided to maintain the closure of the trails for now. Although this decision may be disappointing, it is the most prudent course of action to ensure safety.

UPCOMING SNOWSTORM UPDATE!!!

We are just as excited as you are looking at the weekend forecast. If the storm comes, it looks like most of the snow will fall Saturday night and Sunday. This is still a ways out but we are keeping an eye on it.

Many factors come into play when determining if snowmobile trails can reopen. Wind can play a big factor on where the snow stays.

Respect for landowners property and your safety are also taken into consideration.

THURSDAY NIGHT CLUB RIDE

We will be holding another Thursday night club ride TONIGHT. This ride will be going by SxS or vechicle as the snowmobile trails are closed.

We will be meeting at Bluffton Resort & Bar in Bluffton leaving there at 6:30 pm. This will be our first meet up location for the ride. We then will make our way to Burr Oak to Barney's Bar & Grill.

The ride is open to anyone who wants to drive/ride along, snowmobiler or not. You are also welcome to meet up at any of the stops along the route.

Trail Update 2-28-26

What we received today in snow was light and fluffy snow around 2 to 3 inches in the area. Many areas in the last 2 days lost almost all snow cover. A lot of the snow today had melted this morning and didn't begin accumulation until 10am or after. With this hard decision, we will be keeping trails closed and do not plan on grooming the trails.
