Today's painting workshop was a huge success! Thank you SO much to the one-of-a-kind artist, educator and friend for being so cool and taking these kids on a fun and rewarding journey. Each student brought home a finished piece worthy of the wall! We are so grateful to Jesse for making the day a little more colorful.

💐SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE APPROACHING SOON!💐

At Creede Center for the Arts, we are SO excited to have the opportunity to offer THREE full-ride scholarships for each of our fine arts workshops this summer. Each scholarship deadline is one month prior to the class- which means that the deadline to apply for the chance to take a free intensive workshop with celebrated artist Peggy Morgan Stenmark is in just a few days!

The application is simple- if you are interested at all, we want you involved! You don't have to be an artist, we just want people who are eager to learn.

REGISTRATION OPEN NOW!

Whether you are hoping to dip your toe into the medium or are an experienced printmaker, this class is for you! Over the course of three consecutive Mondays, local artist and printmaker Allison Quiller will take you through the process of creating a TWO-LAYER linoleum cut print. You will learn basics in designing graphically and the method behind multi-color printmaking. All materials are provided. Come ready to teach your brain new tricks and leave with something to be proud of. Meet fellow creatives and make this summer in Creede a tangible memory!

JUNE WILDFLOWER DRAWING - NOW OPEN FOR REGISTRATION!

Join Peggy Morgan Stenmark—a celebrated Crested Butte artist known for her landscapes, architecture and delicate depictions of wildflowers—for a focused and rewarding drawing class. Working from your own reference images or hers, you will be guided through the process of diving into the beautiful, delicate intricacies of plant life in colored pencil. Peggy’s thoughtful instruction will help you translate the complexity of wildflowers into clean, vibrant drawings while building skills you can carry into your own practice.

WHEN: Monday, June 22, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (lunch break 12-1)
WHERE: Upstairs of the Quiller Gallery 110 Main Street, Creede Colorado
WHO: Adults, All Levels (teens welcome!)

Creede Center for the Arts is thrilled to share our 2026 lineup of workshops, masterclasses, youth camps, and community creative sessions!

From Printmaking in March, July & November to Fine Art Workshops all summer long, we’re bringing incredible artists to Creede for watercolor, plein air painting, acrylic, color theory, figure drawing, and more.

🌼 Summer highlights include:

• Intro to Watercolor
• Plein Air Painting
• Crash Course in Acrylic

🌙 Our Evening Creative Sessions return biweekly June–September — relaxed, artist-led workshops designed to bring the community together (with a 20% discount for local residents and arts organization affiliates!).
