Putting her genre-chameleon skills to the test, Meg is bringing a little something for everyone: from classical, opera, and musical theatre to the American songbook, country and western favorites, and sacred songs.

She’ll be joined by special guests pianist
Judith Bible (traveling in from Montrose) and guitarist Courtney La Zier, plus surprise appearances.

Admission is free, and all are welcome.

Details: Generously hosted by the Dee Family & John Arp, complete with a spread of tasty snacks.

Support & Donations: While the concert is free, any donations will go directly into a fund supporting our board president, Mike Mayes. As many of you know, Mike suffered severe injuries onstage in Germany on May 13, leaving him unable to work for the foreseeable future. Proceeds will help offset ongoing medical care and legal expenses.

Bring a song, bring a friend, or just bring your ears, CMAC’s Monthly Song Swap series!

Think open mic meets front porch jam session: we’ll keep it casual, passing the spotlight around one tune at a time. Share an original, cover a classic, join in if you know the chords, or just soak it all in. Whether you’re a seasoned songwriter, a casual strummer, a spoken-wordsmith, or someone who just loves live music, there’s a seat in the circle for you.

CMAC will have a few mics, a piano/keyboard, and a variety of stringed instruments on hand for those who want to gently plug in or join the fun spontaneously. The atmosphere is relaxed, collaborative, and rooted in acoustic-style sharing.
All styles and experience levels welcome.

Free and open to the public, donations are always appreciated.

TOMORROW, 12-1 PM @ CMAC HQ

Warm up your voice and lift your spirits, CMAC’s Friday Voice Class is open to all! This weekly class is for everyone- all levels, all styles, all ages. Whether you’re a total beginner, a confident belter, or just someone who loves to sing in the car, you’re welcome here.

This week is led by one of CMAC’s favorite vocal experts, genre-adventurous mezzo-soprano Kristin Gornstein, joining us for one one more Friday from Boulder.

We’ll start each session with gentle group warm-ups and communal singing, followed by opportunities for individual coaching or phrase work, depending on what folks are feeling that day. It’s collaborative, casual, and centered around joy and vocal discovery. No need to read music, just bring your voice and a willingness to explore. But if you have sheet music for a piece you’d like to work on, feel free to bring it along!

Free to attend, donations are always appreciated.

Look at this absolute beauty that came through the door. CMAC Board member Courtney LaZier has been helping Dave Robinson get his uncle’s ca. 1918 Vega “Banjolin” back in fighting shape. Essentially, it’s the unholy (and amazing) result of leaving a banjo and a mandolin alone in a room together with a bottle of bourbon. đŸ„ƒâœš He says it has been a blast working on this piece of history.
