When all students have what they need, including regular meals, everybody benefits - both inside and outside of the classroom.

The School Meals for All NC Coalition is working to ensure every child in every public school in North Carolina should have access to breakfast and lunch at school at no cost to their families. Led by the North Carolina Alliance for Health, The Center for Black Health & Equity, Carolina Hunger Initiative, and A Better Chance A Better Community, this growing coalition is working to end child hunger

, lunch shame, and stigma in North Carolina. We can improve student outcomes and strengthen our communities by making no-cost school meals available to all students. Please join us in this critical work today.

Good news for NC schools and students!

The final state budget includes $2.5 million to support Farm to School purchasing in elementary schools–but not only fresh fruits and vegetables. This funding can be used to purchase local meat and grains as well.
