It is with profound sadness that I must inform you that Rhode Island DeMolay lost a great mentor, Advisor and Friend on Friday evening. Mom Deanna Gillis passed away on July 10th 2026.

Mom De, as she preferred, was an amazing supporter of DeMolay and Rainbow within our jurisdiction and the mother of one of our members. Her positivity and support was always felt where ever she was.

She is already dearly missed. Her family has asked for privacy during this very difficult time and more information on a celebration of life will be provided when available.
