🌟 Volunteer of the Month Spotlight: Elisa Pollard 🌟
Behind every great Scout experience is a volunteer who steps up, gives their all, and helps make the magic happen. This month, we're proud to recognize Elisa Pollard, Scoutmaster of Troop 11 Scituate, as our Volunteer of the Month!
Elisa's Scouting journey began with a simple goal: ensuring her daughter had the opportunity to continue her adventure after Cub Scouts. When there wasn't a female troop in the community, Elisa helped create one. What followed was an incredible effort to launch a troop in time for summer camp at Yawgoog. Five years later, that troop is thriving and preparing to celebrate its very first Eagle Scout.
When asked what inspires her to continue volunteering, Elisa shared:
"What motivates me to continue volunteering is watching the Scouts learn new skills, experience new things, and grow as individuals and leaders."
Elisa's story is a powerful reminder that making a difference starts with simply stepping up. Whether it's leading a unit, helping at an event, serving on a committee, or supporting behind the scenes, every volunteer helps create life-changing experiences for young people.
Outside of Scouting, Elisa enjoys cooking and traveling. She has visited 11 countries and driven across the United States three times, truly embodying the spirit of adventure!
