Cranston firefighters battled this house fire on Central St. in Edgewood this afternoon under difficult post storm conditions. 3 of our members were transported to the hospital. Thank you for the outpouring of support as those members have been released and are recovering from minor injuries.

Every year, the needs of those less fortunate grow during the holiday season. Cranston firefighters, organized by firefighter Mason Keach, have stepped up year after year to ensure Cranston kids have a merry Christmas. This year was no different and our annual toy drive was beyond successful. Thank you to all of those who donated this holiday season!

Last night, Cranston firefighters, along with numerous communities throughout the state, responded to the City of Providence to assist in their incident at Brown University. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, those who responded, and the entire Providence and Brown community.

Your Cranston Firefighters welcomed the new Ladder 2 today. The City of Cranston was awarded a $1,000,000 AFG grant to obtain this vital piece of apparatus to serve you, the citizens of Cranston. Over the next few weeks, the shifts will be trained on the operating of the truck and placing all the equipment needed to serve on it. So if you’re around Garden City this holiday season and see your firefighters out and about in it, give us a wave, stop and say hi, and know we are here to keep you and the city safe everyday! Last night, your Cranston Firefighters hosted their Annual Halloween Party! What a huge success it was! We estimated over 700 people came through the doors to share in our scary good time! Huge thank you to both on duty and off duty members of your Cranston Firefighters making the event go off without a hitch! Special Shout out to the restaurants that were nice enough to donate ALL of the pizza given away to the families that came by. They are: also 5 Herb Pizza, Tony’s Pizza Palace, and Basil’s Pizza. Your generosity made the night even more special than we could have imagined. Hope to see you all next Halloween!

Trick or Treat! Your Cranston Firefighters invite you to join us for a scary good time Halloween Night at Station 2 from 6pm-8pm. There will be pizza, candy, and much more. Come meet your firefighters and have your kids get some sweet treats at the same time! Hope to see you all there! Happy Halloween!! 🎃🎃
