Letโs play devilโs advocate for a moment. If the Township is so insistent on closing one pool โ tell us ๐ฐ๐ก๐ฒ ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ง๐ง๐ข๐๐ฅ?
Because when you look at the facts, the logic just doesnโt add up:
๐นCentennial is the newer pool complex with renovated bathrooms and an attached indoor pool and fitness center.
๐นOAS is older, needs major improvements, and has limited parking.
๐นCentennial offers more pools, more space, and better amenities for families.
๐นKeeping the indoor and outdoor pools together on one property would save money and improve efficiency.
๐นIf the goal is to gain more field space, OAS clearly has more land available.
Why close the newer, better facility instead of consolidating where it makes sense?
If the Township truly cares about the financial health of the Swim Pool Utility, keeping pools on opposite ends of town isnโt the answer โ itโs inefficiency by design.
