Kelly's Kids

Kelly's Kids Kelly Ann Mahon Connolly Scholarship Foundation dba Kelly's Kids Our focus has changed to awarding grants to Special Education teachers or teaching teams.

Our goal at Kelly's Kids is to raise funds to be awarded annually to a Cranford High School Senior who has demonstrated academic excellence and has elected to major in Education with a concentration in Special Education. In addition the selected student must have been accepted into an accredited university that offers the required programs.

It is with sadness that we announce that Kelly's Kids is no longer accepting donations. After thinking long and hard on how to best honor her memory, we will be donating the balance of the Kelly's Kids account to various organizations that support Special Needs children. We begin today with a $500 donation to Autism Speaks. For those of you who are my FB friends, I have set up a Birthday Fundraiser for this organization. Please donate if you can.
In the future we ill be announcing other organizations that Kelly's Kids will be donating to.
Thank you all for your support over the years. And thank you for remembering and honoring Kelly's life and memory.

A lovely Thank You from Miss Hanson and her preschool class.
With her grant money she was able to provide her "kids" a variety of learning activities and supplementary supplies they could pick up monthly while learning remotely. When they returned to the classroom each of the children were surprised to find a wrapped gift waiting for them on their desks. We are happy we could help!

Good Morning: I received your card in the mail and wanted to thank you for your generosity. It was so very nice of you to think of my students, especially during what has been a difficult time for them. I will be able to support their learning at home and eventually in school with the help from Kelly's Kids by providing them with necessary materials to engage them in meaningful, multisensory instruction. I also plan on purchasing some new toys for our classroom that will be waiting for them when they return to school! I cannot wait for them to see and enjoy everything! My mom has told me about Kelly's Kids and the legacy you have created for your daughter. It sounds like she has continued to touch many hearts! Words cannot express what a kind act you have given us.

We are happy to announce that we have awarded our 2020 grant to Jennilyn Hanson who works with special needs children at Madison Primary School and the Edison Board of Education. She is currently lovingly working with autistic kindergarten childen remotely. We know how very challenging this can be and we wish her great success.
Those of you who knew Kelly Ann also know that she started her special education career working with autistic kindergarten children as well. A job she so loved and children she cared for deeply. So awarding this grant to Jenny is especially meaninful to us. I know Kelly Ann is smiling down on us and cheering Jenny on.
