Bacon Bash Texas The nation's largest bacon cook off - brought to you by Pederson's Natural Farms! Join us October 18 in Cranfills Gap, Texas.

Bacon Bash Texas was born in 2012 as an avenue for Pederson’s Natural Farms to raise money and awareness for two causes close to the heart of their community. Pederson’s Natural Farms has been a great corporate citizen in the community where they produce 2.75 million pounds of bacon annually, and thus, Bacon Bash Texas has grown substantially each year. Due to the event’s rapid growth, Pederson’s Natural Farms has transitioned Bacon Bash Texas from an event to a non-profit organization. Pederson’s Natural Farms is very involved in the charity as members of the Bacon Bash Texas’ Board of Directors, as well as supply volunteers for the event; donate over 750 pounds of bacon for the cook-off; and give the winning team a big shout out by featuring their recipe and bio on the back over over 45,000 packages of their bacon, distributed nationwide.

Seemed appropriate.

Cranfills Gap has Norwegian roots running through the church, the buildings and approximately half the phone book. Those roots are part of what makes this little town what it is.

And after 15 years and $1 million+ raised together, The Reunion is really about coming back to the people and the place that made all of this possible.

Anyway. Meet our first applicant.

He’s a little hairier than expected. Not especially warm. But he has horns and seems to understand the assignment.

Fifteen years. Ten legendary teams. One big reunion.

Bacon Bash Texas returns to Cranfills Gap on Saturday, October 17. Admission is free. If you want to sample what the Battle of the Bacon teams are cooking, grab a $20 Tasting Pack.

Each pack includes 8 tickets plus 1 People’s Choice vote:

1 ticket = Battle of the Bacon sample
2 tickets = Beer or mixed drink
8 tickets = T-shirt

Tasting and voting begin at 3:00 PM. Drop your vote at your favorite team’s booth by 5:00 PM. The five teams with the most votes advance to the Final Table and present live on the main stage at 6:15 PM.

At 6:00 PM, Bird Farms presents the Bacon Eating Relay. Ten spots available. Half a pound of crispy bacon each. Fastest team wins.

Then Dylan Wheeler takes the main stage at 8:30 PM.

Since 2012, this little Texas town has raised more than $1,039,000 for children living with Type 1 Diabetes and winter relief through Niki Warms the Cold.

103 days. That’s the countdown to October 17, the day Main Street in Cranfills Gap fills with smoke and the 15th Bacon Bash Texas kicks off outside the H***y Toad on Main Street.

Fifteen years in, this little town of about 300 has raised more than $1,000,000 for families facing Type 1 Diabetes and Niki Warms the Cold, one October Saturday at a time.

Mark your calendar and bring your appetite. We’ll have the bacon ready.

Before the big stage. Before the million dollars raised. Before the crowds filled Main Street.

Just this green building, a town willing to show up, and a handful of friends who believed bacon and a good time could make a real difference.
