’Twaz the night before the 5k-ish and the town felt bright
Folks buzzing with excitement under soft summer light
Sneakers by the doorway, bags ready to go
Everyone hoping tomorrow their legs won’t say no

The course was simple just spray paint and cheer
Neighbors waving from porches with coffee and gear
And every step tomorrow would help the Rescue crew
Because every dollar raised goes straight to what they do

So rest up Lake runners your moment is near
Grab your tote bag at sunrise and bring all your cheer
We will jog we will laugh we will wobble with delight
Happy 5k-ish eve to all and to all a good night

We are so proud to have been serving this community for the past 50 years. What began as a small volunteer group has grown into a strong and dedicated team that is always ready to respond when help is needed.

Thank you to every person who has been part of our story. Your trust and encouragement have carried us through five decades of service.
