What a wonderful day for a field trip! North Clarion participated in our “Camp Belong” series as a field trip, just for their classroom. This adapted and inclusive camp brings exciting opportunities to kids with special needs so they can experience nature and the outdoors.

This week we hosted the Oil Region Astronomical Society (ORAS) during their AstroBlast 2026 event, an annual multi-day celebration of astronomy and the night sky!

Congratulations to ORAS for opening a new outdoor classroom. We attended the ribbon cutting today!

Camp Coffman provided overnight accommodations for international guests of the event. Thank you Tim Spuck, and ORAS for choosing Camp Coffman!

"Camp Belong" creates an inclusive outdoor experience where people of all ages with cognitive and developmental disabilities can challenge themselves, build confidence, make friends, and feel truly connected. At the YMCA, we believe every person should have the opportunity to participate, explore, and create meaningful memories in a safe and welcoming environment.

Through horseback riding, nature hikes, archery, arts and crafts, games, scavenger hunts, and other camp experiences, participants are encouraged to try something new, discover what they can do, and celebrate their accomplishments.

Our spacious grounds can host your wedding and reception. The banquet hall, pavilion, outdoor chapel, and all 10 cabins are part of our FULL CAMP PACKAGE.

Enjoy our 240-acre venue all to yourself from Friday night at 4 pm through Sunday at 12 pm. Your guests receive two nights in our 10 cabins and you have plenty of time to decorate, even hold your rehearsal dinner!
