The Ice went out last weekend, and so did our dock. Looking for dock sitings from Tamarack bay (next to Matilda) labeled 437B with white fire hose on the sides. Seeking if anyone at Cranberry has seen it floating in the last few days and if they could secure it until we can get there....Katie Birmingham

Ice-Out 2026 is officially over.
Ice-Out was called by Judge Check Yartz at 6:00 AM on 4/5/26.

And the Winner is!

Chris Martin!!!

Chris is really lucky or real smart. He has guessed Ice-Out two years in a row! He wins $222.00, half of the $444.00. He is donating his winnings to the CLBC and the CLFD. So, of the $444 total, $111 goes to the CLBC and $333 ($111 + $222) to the CLFD!

His guess of: 4/26 at 7:35 AM, was the closest and one of six guesses for Easter Sunday.

Only 10 days left to get your guesses in!!

Remember to get rid of any lead tackle you have!

We're thrilled to see the lead poisoning issue being highlighted in outlets like bioGraphic . Lead poisoning is a leading cause of death of common loons... and it is 100% preventable. Check out this in-depth look into lead fishing tackle and the hurdles to making change: https://www.biographic.com/why-are-loons-still-dying-from-lead-poisoning/
