As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. It has been an incredible pleasure and privilege to serve our community and its children over the past several years through Craigsville Athletics Club.

We are deeply grateful for the support, participation, and memories we have shared together. Watching our community’s children grow, learn, and enjoy sports has been truly rewarding.

As our own children continue to grow and head in new directions, our families need us to be there to support them in these important stages of life. Unfortunately, there are simply not enough hours in the day to continue giving the program the time and dedication it deserves.

With that, we are announcing that Craigsville Athletics Club will officially close on June 1st.

For those in the community who may wish to continue youth sports opportunities and create a new ball program, there are local organizations available for the upcoming year. New programs may choose to operate under Churchville Diamond Club for Babe Ruth or Augusta Little League with Little League. We encourage anyone interested in keeping youth athletics alive in our community to explore those opportunities. The keys to the field will be housed at Town Hall for future use.

Any remaining funds from Craigsville Athletics Club will be transferred to a local community 501(c)(3) organization so they may continue to benefit and support our community.

Thank you again for the past several years. It has truly been an honor, and we will always cherish the time we have spent serving this wonderful community.

With sincere gratitude,

Kim, Johnathon, and Nicole

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors. Because of your support, each child’s family was able to receive individual ball photos along with a team picture.
These photos are a cherished keepsake, and the families are incredibly grateful for your kindness and generosity. Thank you for helping create lasting memories for our players and their loved ones.

Field preparation is a primary focus each ball season to ensure they are safe, functional, and ready for our players. Thanks to the incredible support from a few locals in the community, we have been able to get off to a great start this season.

We would like to extend a major thank you to everyone who has helped make the addition of new field dirt possible and to those continuing to assist with field preparation and completion.

A very special recognition goes to Kacee Fridley, who spearheaded this significant effort by coordinating the sourcing of the field dirt, as well as helping secure the necessary funding and transportation. Without her leadership and dedication, this project would not have been possible.

A special thank you to Chris Kincheloe and the Augusta County Board of Supervisors for generously donating the funds for the new dirt.

We are also very grateful to S&K Excavating and Pushin’ Pavement for their willingness to dedicate the time and effort to haul the dirt to the fields from far away and having to make several trips.

Additionally, we sincerely appreciate Cy Walker, Chris Gordon, and Johnathon Balser for volunteering their time and hard work to improve the fields.

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the combined efforts of these individuals and organizations, and we cannot thank them enough for their continued support!

Stay tuned as additional community member support will be announced soon as we continue working toward completing the fields.

Season sponsor announcements to come!
