Come out and support the hardworking youth of Moffat County as they showcase the projects they’ve dedicated countless hours to throughout the year. Your support helps invest in the future of agriculture and the next generation of producers, leaders, and community members.

“My name is Irene Peck, and I am 11 years old. It is my fourth year in 4-H. This year, I've worked hard raising market sheep and swine as part of my 4-H project. I also show horses. Through this experience, I have learned about responsibility, patience, and what it takes to care for animals from start to finish.
I would love to invite you to support me and my fellow 4-H and FFA members at the Moffat County Fair's junior livestock sale. Your encouragement and support make it possible for kids like me to keep learning and growing through agriculture.
Thank you so much for considering supporting me and the other youth of this community at this year's Moffat County Jr. Livestock Sale!”

“My name is Jolene Rhyne, and I am 18 years old. I am completing my 13th year of 4-H involvement, and this will be my last year in 4-H and FFA. My projects this year include market pigs, horse, and leathercraft. I want to thank all the buyers who support the Moffat County Jr. Livestock sale – it truly does make a difference for the youth of our community. These experiences will give me the skills and success I need as I start college this fall and pursue a future career.”

“Hi, my name is Frankie Counts. I am an Elkhead Wranglers 4-H member, and this is my fourth year in 4-H. My 2025 projects are market goats and breeding goats. My market goats' names are Jammer and Ford. My breeding goats' names are Pepper, Olive Oyl, and Hazel. I have been raising goats for almost 5 years, and this is the first year I’m showing some of my very own show goats that I bred and raised! I love showing goats because they’re not too hard but also not too easy. I make sure to care for and work very hard with my goats every day. I’m excited and ready for the fair. I hope everyone has a good year!
P.S. I also want to thank Mountain Meat Packing for purchasing my 2024 Market Goat!”

“My name is Kimble Rose. I am 11 years old, and this is my seventh year in 4-H. It is my fourth year showing Market Swine. I really enjoy 4-H because it’s fun, and I get to spend a lot of time with my animals and friends.

Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about raising and showing pigs. I’ve learned how to feed them right, keep them healthy, and get them ready for show day. Last year, I partnered with a breeder in Wyoming, which helped me learn more about picking good genetics and understanding what makes a great show pig. I’ve also learned a lot from another amazing breeder in Iowa who has taught me so much about feeding, caring for, and raising high-quality show pigs. I’m very thankful for both of them. It’s a lot of hard work, but it keeps me busy!

I’ve also learned to be responsible and how to budget my money. I try to make smart choices and not spend too much, but I still take good care of my animals.
Thank you for supporting kids like me in 4-H!”
