Mellow Valley Community Center MVCC will foster community participation in order to increase personal and collective growth in our community and its surrounding areas "God The Way Maker"

Mellow Valley High School organized approximately, 1910,and sadly closed in 2003. Many good rural schools were closed. For several years the school building sat empty, deteriorated/decayed, and vandalized. For many years the concerned citizens sought to obtain the old school properties, after attending many official meetings with BOE, the Mellow Valley Alumni & Friends Association, Inc(Non-Profit

Status), formed in order to obtain the property, August 14, 2014, the official date, MVHS Alumni & Friends Association Inc. obtained the Buildings & Property. This group of devoted Alumni and many friends quickly began to raise funds beginning the process of repairing and restoring the MVHS buildings & property. To date, the work is still on going, but thankfully, with the vision of many volunteers, sponsorship, membership fees, contributions, Mellow Valley Community Center has been upgraded, renovated enough to host events, fund-raisers, to help with the upkeep, preservation/restoration of the MVHS 10 acre properties for Mellow Valley & surrounding communities & Clay County to enjoy. NOTE: MVHS Alumni & Friends Association, Inc. monthly meeting first Thursday night each month, MVHS Community Center, 6:30 p.m. Updates on events, minutes read, financial statement by the treasurer, new & old business discussed. Everyone, volunteers, suggestions are welcomed & so appreciated.
