6 members of our Rescue Company, along with 5 members from Lloydsville, were awarded a Unit Citation for the successful trench rescue in Charleroi last year. As members of the Westmoreland County Trench & Collapse Rescue Team, our crew assisted in the rescue of an excavator operator from a 15’ collapse of the street. Also, 7 members of the Dryridge VFD were recognized for a successful CPR/AED save. Congratulations to all!

The Department ran 12 incidents this past week. Electrical fires, smoke conditions, odors, alarms, trees/wires, and crashes. We are always looking to add personnel to our roster to serve our communities as firefighter-rescuers. Free training, free gear, call stipends and a great way to connect with our community. Stop by, give us a call 724-838-7734 or contact us on Facebook, we would be happy to meet with you!
