Last Tuesday our guest speaker presented by Claire Berreckman was Katie Sturgeon who with her husband Tyler Sturgeon own Frontier Family Pharmacy in Cozad. They renovated the old car wash and it became a walk in or drive thru pharmacy! Tyler and his staff work with the community to help them understand their medications, make it easier for them to remember to take their medication timely and correctly. Tyler and Katie are very involved in the community as well as hometown grown! They also own a pharmacy in Broken Bow. They have been back in our community for 13 years. Thank you Katie for coming to Rotary, and thank you and Tyler for being a part of our community!

This month, our informative meetings have been particularly noteworthy. Cindy Shirley, Executive Director of Cozad Housing, gave a comprehensive presentation to the Rotary Club on the post-fire situation and the Housing Authority's services.

Josh Willard of the Nebraska Department of Roads provided a viaduct update, forecasting its opening by April's end. He also updated us on the interstate construction, detailing the work methodology. We appreciate the time both speakers took to keep us informed.

Today at Rotary, our guest speaker was Michael Woltemath from Big Red Supply and Rental. Michael is also a skilled construction carpenter. He recently acquired the former Meridian Rental. We encourage you to visit their location to explore their offerings and upcoming products. Their services include small motor repairs and oil changes for small engines, and they stock a range of oils and parts. Michael also offers sign rental services. If you're in the market for a new mower or have carpentry needs, don't hesitate to reach out. Michael is married to Kaitlyn and they have three sons.

Last Tuesday Rotary had the honor or a former Cozadian Mike Brownfield speaking. Mike is the manager of the Home Instead franchise in this area. His area covers Cozad and surrounding areas, to North Platte, McCook and some other areas. Mike is very passionate about the work being done with persons that need assistance from a few hours a day to even more time. Home Instead does not like to turn people away, and will help to get assistance paid for. Hospice can even be provided under their care. Home Instead does have an office in Cozad at the Cozad Business Center. Please feel free to stop on or call hm to discuss any questions or for assistance you need for yourself or your loved one!Thank you Mike for coming to talk with us!

We are pleased to announce that Coach Nick Broz of Cozad Community School graciously served as a guest speaker, highlighting the team's remarkable advancements and the core principles that drive their success. The 'Haymaker mentality' embodies an unwavering commitment to excellence, unified collaboration, infectious enthusiasm, spirited competitiveness, and a familial camaraderie. We commend Coach Broz for his tireless dedication and exemplary leadership, which have profoundly influenced the team and the community. Furthermore, Coach Broz organizes basketball events for youth athletes during the late fall season, drawing in local teams. We extend our best wishes to Coach Broz for the remainder of the season.

What a exciting start to the month Thre Rotary Club of Cozad! Last Tuesday Maddux Myer presented on his occupation of providing financial services being employed by Waypoint Bank and what he offers to help the community with insurance needs as well investment options. Thank you Maddux and welcome as a new member of our Rotary Club!

Our week ended in the toy business. Such a fun time to put together bags of toys for families! We could not of got it all completed without the volunteers of so many! Thank you to the Gothenburg Trap Shooting team for coming to see what we do and the donation! Thank you to Karen Berreckman, CeCe from the Cozad Haymaker Grand Generstion Cenet, Mike Schmeeckle, rrand Schneider for hauling the toys from the Center to the Church, mikayla Griffidvfor getting us squared away at the Church,to the Clothe ‘’Em so much help in many eafamily for working with us side by side! the numerous wonderful donations we receives, the Cozad United Methodist Church for the place to giveaway the toys and clothes. It was a fulfilling week! To anyone I left out, I am sorry. You are all the best and to all the volunteers of Rotary thank you!!♥️

Last week we had Chief of Police Nick Reynolds join us for updates in his field. He wa glad to report new officers in his team! His confidence in team building is great for our community.We listened intensely to all the new and great things for our community. Public safety, safety for the officers, how alerts are handled, and crime prevention. Thank you Chief Reynolds for your time to educate us!
