Impact Wednesday - today we are featuring Holiday Spirit again. We have 127 families who are asking for help this Holiday season. Over 150 kiddos are in need of new clothing and toys. In total there will be 358 people served with boxes filled with food for their holiday meal, toiletries and soaps. If you can donate to any of the organizations that are serving these families please drop donations off at the food pantry M-W-F from 1-5, clothing at the Methodist church and toys at the Grand Generation Center.

Impact Wednesday - today we want to feature the National Honor Society annual food drive for the Cozad Food Pantry. They collect a lot of food every year to go to families in need of help with food. Word got back to the school that the pantry was completely out of soup. The picture shows how much soup showed up today. Thanks Cozad NHS for making your impact in our community.

Impact Wednesday - Today we are featuring the Holiday Spirit Program. This program has been serving Cozad for at least 17 years. This is a collaborative effort between Charitable Fund of Cozad, Cozad Food Pantry, Cloth'em and the Rotary Toy drive. The purpose of this collaboration is to spread the donations given to every family in need fairly and make an effort to not leave any family out. Families can pick up applications during the month of November from any Cozad church. Applications must be returned to Charitable Fund of Cozad no later than November 24th this year(it is always the Monday after Thanksgiving).
If you are able to donate you can donate toys at the Grand Generation Center, or contact any Rotary member. Food at the food pantry or through the National Honor Society food drive at the high school. The middle school is taking donations of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap and toiletry items. Monetary donations for children's clothing or new clothing donations can be dropped off at the Methodist Church 1515 B Street.
Last year 129 families were served totaling 373 people in our community impacted by this collaboration.

Impact Wednesday - today we are featuring L2 for Kids. L2 for Kids mission is to help families that struggle to get new clothes for their children for school. In 2025 they served 158 kids(70 families) get new clothes for school. Each child is given a certain amount of money based on their age and they are allowed to shop in Walmart and pick out the clothing they like. The cost of the clothing for those 158 kiddos was $14,348.00. Thanks to the money we allocate to them and several private donors no children were told no.
L2 for Kids directors are looking for help in Cozad to learn the program and possibly take over the Cozad portion of L2 for Kids. If you are interested in more information please contact them at [email protected] or Henry Potter at 308-530-0441
