Plan a day out in Cozad!

We are excited to partner with the Haymaker Creative District as well as Rhakenna’s Wings to offer a Wing Walk on Saturday, October 10, at 10 in the morning. Afterward (around 11), join us in the conference room to do a special craft of designing your own wings! This is a great family event!

Cathy Pflaster will lead the tour to a variety of Rhakenna’s Wings in the Creative District, telling the stories behind each set of wings. Participants will have time for photo ops as well as do a special scavenger hunt.

The tour will include visiting the two S.W.A.N. (Sculpture Walk Across Nebraska) sculptures and hear the stories behind those fixtures, too.

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, bring a water bottle to hydrate, and potentially a camera. This event will happen rain or shine, so you may need an umbrella or sunscreen, too. Check the library’s page in case of terribly inclement weather.

While supplies last, participants will receive either a set of butterly wings to wear during the walk or antennas.

The walk will start promptly at 10am, so please arrive at the library no later than 9:50am.

You may consider adding the Clio Your Guide to History app to your cell phone. This free app has numerous historical and artistic markers listed, not only for Cozad, but for places across the country.

New CHS Biology teacher Isela Horwart will be here on Tuesday, August 18, at 5:30pm to talk about all of the European road trips she went on while studying abroad in Barcelona. Plan a day out in Cozad!

Enjoy our boutiques, grab a bite to eat, and visit The Robert Henri Museum and Art Gallery

We are so excited to have Beth Jasnoch and Jeri Jasnoch Schultheiss as our artists of the month for August. Their new exhibit is entitled Sisters' and has many aspects to it that are so interesting to see. Both are accomplished artists and on Thursday evening (August 6) from 5-7 there will be a reception for them in our new gallery. The gallery will also be open all day with no admission charge.

Come by and see the remarkable work of these area sisters. The gallery is located on East 9th Street. There is parking availabe and the facilitiy is accessible.

Looking for somewhere cool to hang out today? Wilson Public Library is the place to be. Work on a puzzle, do a little reading, find a book to check out and so much more!

Their used book sale started today, so you can even add to your collection for a free will donation to the library!

August 7th is bursting with things to do in Cozad!

Check out the star party hosted by Wilson Public Library.

It's also Music on Meridian night hosted by Meridian Tap House and Big E's. You can see the stars of The Innocence and James Lee Band too!

Enjoy a night of stars, food, and entertainment!

Glow-in-the-dark things happening on Friday, August 7, at dusk. Come through the west gates at the CHS football field around 8:30pm, grab a glow-in-the-dark necklace, and check out the stars with members of Platte Valley Astronomical Observers. We'll be there until around 10pm.

Armchair Travels is a wonderful series hosted by Wilson Public Library

Explore the world through the eyes of local travelers.

On Tuesday, July 21, at 5:30pm, Wilson Public Library in Cozad hosts Kevin and Marianne Boyd from Gothenburg for our monthly Armchair Travels. They will talk about their recent trip to Peru...and Machu Picchu! Hope you can make it!
