These cheerful gals really sing spring. ☀️ So happy to see the world awakening after such a long, snowy winter.

We heard that the daffodil is the flower of Coxsackie and we would love to fill our perennial bed with as many of these beauties as we can. If anyone got lovely perennials for Easter that they will not be planting, please don’t toss them!! Tulips, daffodils, lilies, hyacinth, we don’t discriminate we love them all! We will plant them in the garden everyone to enjoy, just drop off the bucket next to our shed.

Happy Spring everyone, here’s to longer days and warmer weather for all to enjoy. We may have a bed or two up for grabs this year, if anyone is interested in renting please send us a message. We do have waist high accessible boxes as well.

Hello March!

Dandelions are not just common garden plants; they showcase nature’s hidden mathematics. If you look closely at a dandelion’s seed head, you’ll notice spirals that follow the Fibonacci sequence. This pattern maximizes the number of seeds in a limited space, ensuring efficient dispersal by the wind.

The leaves of a dandelion also follow a fascinating mathematical principle. Arranged at an angle of about 137.5 degrees, their positioning allows each leaf to get the most sunlight without shading the others. This angle is linked to the golden ratio, a pattern found in many plants.

“Nature uses only the longest threads to weave her patterns, so each small piece of her fabric reveals the organization of the entire tapestry.” ~ Richard Feynman
