Coweta Ladies Fire Auxiliary would like to invite all of you to join us for lunch to help support our brother from Porter. While responding to a collision on the turnpike, a car veered off the road narrowly missing many personnel but striking one. While injuries sustained were not life threatening, the firefighter was seriously injured and unable to return to work. Please help us show our love and support for one of our own that works to keep his community safe.
Many of you might remember a few weeks back when multiple fire and police agencies, including Coweta Fire and Coweta Police, worked a significant wreck on the Muskogee Turnpike. While working to assist people in that accident, Porter firefighter Michael Seals was struck by a vehicle and suffered serious, but thankfully not life-threatening, injuries. Coweta EMS transported him to the hospital.
His injuries and the required recovery under the care of an orthopedic specialist mean he is unable to work for an as-yet-unknown amount of time.
He is a husband and a father, and has been a part of the Porter Fire Department since he graduated high school in 2015.
This Saturday, 9/23, from 11am to 3pm, you're invited to the Coweta Fire Department for a delicious BBQ pulled pork sandwich meal for $12/person. 100% of all proceeds will go directly to Michael's family to assist with his care and recovery and to help support his family during this time.
$12.00 gets you a pulled pork sandwich, BBQ baked beans, chips, a drink – and a cookie. And all for a great cause! We hope to see a lot of Coweta citizens there on Saturday to help support someone who has definitely helped to support us!
