The Spirit of the Lord says, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him?”
This is not a word of rebuke, but of redirection.
You have cried long enough over what no longer carries His hand.
You have lingered at the grave of a past move, weeping for the days of yesterday’s glory.
You have been asking God to revive what He has chosen to replace.
There is a new assignment, a new anointing, and a new generation waiting for the oil that is still sitting in your horn.
God is calling His people out of the mourning tents of disappointment.
Many of you have been sitting in the ashes of what used to be- ministries that fell, relationships that broke, seasons that shifted, and you have mistaken grief for intercession.
You thought if you wept long enough, God would restore the old thing, but He is not resurrecting Saul.
He is anointing David.
The old system has run its course.
God has moved from the structure of performance to the posture of purity.
Saul represents what was once anointed but has become disobedient, prideful, and self-serving.
Saul wanted the applause of the people more than the approval of God.
And heaven is breaking the idolatry of image that has crept into the Church.
God no longer looking for those who can perform in armor; He is looking for those who can worship with a sling.
He is raising up voices that carry the sound of the field, not the echo of the platform.
The next move of God will not be found in the polished halls of Saul’s palace, but in the pasture, among those who have learned to fight lions and bears in secret.
The oil is waiting, but I cannot pour it into a vessel still clinging to yesterday.
There is an anointing He is releasing for the new thing, but it is reserved for those who will stop saying, “Lord, why did this end?” and start saying, “Lord, what’s next?”
The Lord says, “I am transitioning My body from nostalgia to new wine.”
The old wineskin cannot carry what He is about to release.
The Saul system has produced leaders who were chosen by men, but heaven is raising up Davids who are chosen by God.
They are not polished; they are pure.
They are not perfect; they are pursuing His heart.
They will not use the anointing to build a throne for themselves but to bring glory to His.
There is a David generation rising up that is dripping with oil.
They’ve been worshipping in obscurity, just being faithful to their assignment even when no one else was watching, but the Lord has been watching.
He has seen their purity.
He has seen their heart.
God is placing a fresh oil on the ones who have stayed faithful in the fields.
They are the reformers, the revivalists, the restorers of the breach.
For this next move will not be built on charisma, but on character.
It will not be led by those who seek a platform, but by those who seek His presence.
The Davidic generation will destroy the yoke of religion and release the fragrance of intimacy once again.
The old has passed away.
The new has come.
So, dry your eyes.
Stop weeping over Saul and start looking for the oil.
Let the tears of mourning turn into tears of expectation.
Let your hands that once trembled in sorrow begin to tremble with anointing.
What is coming carries more glory than what was lost.
